SYSTEMATIC AND EFFECTIVE PROCEDURES
The department follows the CvSU manual of operations as guide in
ensuring the development of its faculty members. The following are the process
usually followed in hiring and promotion of faculty/employees. A faculty
development plan was to be filled up for proper budget alignment and to be
signed by the President and will follow strict implementation.
Recruitment Process of Faculty
Posting of Vacant Positions
1. Screening of Applicants
2. Interview
3. Selection
4. Medical
5. Recommendation (HR Office)
6. Recommendation Approval
7. Approval (University President)
Announcement of Vacancy
1. Recommendation of atleast 3-5 qualified faculty members (dean)
2. Promotion and Selection Board, PSB (Dean, FA Regent, HR, OVPAA)
3. Dean Recommends
4. HR informs the faculty to submit requirements
5. Faculty is given an appointment (Temporary item for 1 year)

Announcement of vacancy (VPAA/OUP)
1. NBC 461 Criteria (Local NBC
2. Promotion and Selection Board, PSB (Dean, FA Regent, HR, OVPAA)
3. Comparative Evaluation
4. VPAA recommends Faculty member to University President
5. Approval of Recommendation (UP)
6. HR informs the faculty
7. Faculty enjoys the benefits
