Human Resources

The CvSU Extension Services is under the Office of the Vice President for

Research and Extension. It is headed by the Director for Extension (Figure 2.9).

Extension Specialists in the unit are responsible in the implementation and

monitoring of the extension projects of the different colleges/campuses/units.

Extension experts are on-call depending on the nature of extension work.

The campus has its micro-organizational set-up for its extension and

community involvement undertakings. An over-all Extension Coordinator heads the

extension services. The campus extension workers are divided into three key

areas; research, extension, and Gender & Development with a team head each.

Monitoring and evaluation of the activities are joint responsibilities of the Director

of Research, Development and Extension Services and the School Administrator

(Figure 2.10).

For the BSF program, there are Fisheries Science Extension Team Leader

and faculty/staff extension workers. The students also participate in extension

activities as intra-curricular or extra-curricular activities.
