BEST PRACTICES ADOPTED
1. CvSU formulated a Research and Extension Framework, Organizational
Structure, Roadmap (REFORM) Agenda to which all Extension Programs and
Plans of all academic units are anchored.
2. CvSU maintains an efficient organizational structure with functions,
integrated and participatory procedures, which facilitate, planning
implementation, monitoring and evaluation of extension programs. The CvSU
Extension Services Center, usually referred to as Extension Office, oversees
the implementation of the college’s extension program. It is headed by a
Director who is duly appointed by the University President and is working under
the immediate supervision of the Vice president for Research and Extension.
The College has an Extension Coordinator designated to spearhead all
extension activities of the college starting from agenda setting, program and
project planning, and implementation. The College Extension Coordinator
reports regularly to the Director for Extension.
3. Research outputs are disseminated to the community through various
means and strategies. Research outputs are utilized as extension outputs.
4. Administrators, faculty, non-academic employees, students and
stakeholders are involved in the conduct of extension activities.
5. There is a pool of experts for relevant concerns, issues and technologies
in Fish Processing.
6. Monitoring and Evaluation forms are included in the approved quality
procedures in Extension.
