                   FACULTY DEVELOPMENT




                   Introduction


                          Cavite State University adheres to its vision and  mission to develop and

                   produce  globally  competitive  and  morally  upright  individuals.  With  this,  the

                   university  follows  the  minimum  qualification  standard  of  its  faculty.  In  addition,


                   faculty  members  should  manifest  desired  personal  qualities  and  high  level  of

                   professionalism.


                          To make sure the university upholds the highest standards of performance

                   of its faculty members, the Strategic Performance Management System (SPMS)


                   shall be administered to continually foster the individual employee efficiency and

                   organizational effectiveness.

                          Moreover, to be have an effective faculty members, they must be properly


                   compensated and taken care of. Faculty  members  must be given opportunities

                   for continuous personal and professional development. The university has a well-


                   funded Faculty Development Program. The program includes criteria for selection

                   of scholars or grantees, and study privileges, research grants, trainings, seminars


                   etc. that are available.

                          The faculty development of Teacher Education Department is governed by


                   the  University  Development  Plan  (2018-2022)  of  the  Human  Resource

                   Development  Office.    Faculty  members  are  encouraged  to  pursue  graduate


                   studies  through  various  forms  of  scholarships  and  attendance  to  trainings

                   seminars and conferences.
