The results of research studies by the Department are then translated into
extension activities and other community services program. The faculty members
also serve as facilitators and resource persons on various environment-related
trainings and seminars.

Student Researches
Research is essential in the development of competitive fisheries
professionals; this is included in the old and revised BS Fisheries curriculum.
BSF students are required to take FISH 200: Undergraduate Thesis for three
semesters allocated for proposal, conduct and final defence starting on the
second semester of their third year in the program. Table 3.3 (Curriculum map of
the revised BS Fisheries program) shows the relationship of these courses to the
program outcomes.
