Human Resources
The Research, Development, and Extension Services (RDES) lead the
research and extension endeavors of the University. Under it are three units:
Research, Extension, and Monitoring & Evaluation Unit (Figures 3.5 and 3.6).
There is a designated Research Coordinator for each department, who
supervise the different research undertakings within the university (campus), which
must be approved by the Director for Research.
Faculty researchers are also designated by RDES. These are the faculty
members who are given less teaching load in order for them to be able to conduct
more internally and externally-funded researchers.
For undergraduate thesis studies, an adviser and a technical critic are
assigned to the students. They maybe from the student’s home department or from
other department or colleges.
