               Outcomes-Based Education Syllabi

                       An outcome-based syllabus for each courses of the program is prepared by


               the  faculty  before  the  start  of  the  semester.  The  syllabus  contains  the  learning

               activities and outcomes-based assessment which follows the suggested curriculum


               delivery schemes and methods on the draft CMO of the revised BSF curriculum:

                       1. Lectures


                       2. Laboratory Experiments

                       3. Film showing


                       4. Focused group discussion

                       5. Soil and water analysis

                       6. Conduct of pond culture and hatchery trials


                       7. Evaluation of potential culture sites

                       8.  Design/cost  estimates  of  aquaculture  production  facilities  e.g.  hatchery,


                         pond, cage, pen

                       9. Submission of business plan for aquaculture production facilities


                       10. Immersion visits to commercial aquaculture operations

                       11. Fabrication of fishing gears


                       12. Participation in commercial & municipal fishing operations

                       13. Chemical evaluation of aquatic products


                       14. Observation of fish processing operations

                       15. Visit/observation of fishing port/fish landings/fish trading centers

                       16. Field work/exposure


                       17. Conduct of thesis/special problem/practicum
