                   III.  PARTICIPATION  OF  SIGNIFICANT  NUMBER  OF  FACULTY/  STAFF/

                        STUDENTS/ COMMUNITY IN MAJOR PROJECTS/ACTIVITIES



                              In order to help alleviate the standard of living of fishermen, women and


                       out-of-school youths of Naic, Cavite, the Cavite State University Naic aligns its

                       extension  activities  with  the  University  Research  and  Extension  Agenda


                       through the conduct of relevant education and training.

                              Technology transfer of processed food, marketing strategy and creation


                       of small business are necessary to augment the income of some poor families

                       living in Naic, Cavite.


                              The  Management  Department  (MD)  being  the  proponent  is  offering

                       livelihood programs and projects particularly the transfer of package technology


                       on food processing and creation of business to promote the economic welfare

                       for the benefit of the people in the community. The proponent is composed of

                       experts  in  the  field  of  hotel  and  restaurant  management  and  business


                       management who are fully equipped with production and marketing skills and

                       knowledge.  Therefore,  proponents  are  geared  with  capability  to  pursue  the


                       activity.


                           The  team  conducted  community  need  assessment  (CNA)  through


                       questionnaires, distributed to the residents of Brgy. Bancaan, Naic, Cavite to

                       be accomplished by the residents who are willing to be trained and engaged


                       in the extension activities offered by the campus.
