2. provide relevant and quality course offering in the undergraduate levels to

improve student performance;

3. conduct relevant researches in the different areas in fisheries to

enrich the learning process;

4. conduct relevant community services to disseminate information and

technologies to target clienteles to improve their well-being;

5. produce instructional materials to improve student performance;

6. produce licensure passers for fishery board.

Research Activities

The research activities that are conducted by the Fisheries and Marine

Science Department support its instruction activities through providing opportunities

that allow the students to:

1. experience working in the laboratory and field;

2. experience data gathering using instruments for ecological parameters

3. work on research topics that are relevant to current research projects; and

4. use research data in their own research studies and curricular activities.

Relevant Research Areas

To ensure the relevance of research activities that are undertaken by the

faculty and students of the BSF program to national and global goals, the research

areas of the program are anchored to the Research Agenda of Cavite State

University, which is then anchored to the Harmonized National R & D Agenda for

2017 – 2022 of the Department of Science and Technology (Table 3.1 BSF-CvSU-

DOST).
