A study entitled “bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management
(BSHRM) Graduates 2011, 2012, and 2013 of Cavite State University (CvSU) Naic, A
Tracer Study” was conducted to trace back the employment, career and personal
information of the graduates’ classes 2011, 2012 and 2013. Specifically, the study
aimed to determine the socio-demographic profile of BSHRM graduates with respect
to sex, civil status and location of residence; identify reasons of the graduates for
taking BSHRM; determine the post graduate trainings and advance studies do
graduates engaged and reasons made the pursue; determine the present employment
status of the BSHRM graduate; determine details of the graduates’ first job in terms of
reasons for staying, reasons for accepting the job, reasons for changing job,
competencies acquired, job relation to their course, length of service, tools in finding
the job, interval time in landing their frist job, job level position, initial gross monthly
earning and relevance of the curriculum; and determine suggestion and
recommendation of the BSHRM graduates of CvSU Naic concerning about the
changes needed to improve the course curriculum.
The data gathering started from October 21- December 4, 2016. The
participants of the study were graduates of BSHRM of Cvsu Naic from 2011, 2012 and
2013 residing in Cavite, other provinces, Metro Manila and other countries.
