Review and Approval of Printed Instructional Materials
The following are the standard procedures for the development of
instructional materials in the University, as lifted from quality procedure VPAA-
QP-01:
Creation of the University Textbook Board and Publication
“The University Presidents creates the University Textbook Board and
Publication and designates six (6) senior faculty members representing
major disciplines with the academic rank of at least Associate Professor
and current editor of the University Gazette as the student body
representative in this Board.
The members of the Board shall select a Chairperson who shall preside
over meetings of the Board and an Executive Secretary who shall run the
day to day affairs of the Board.
The members of the Board shall assume office for a team of four years
and renewable only once, as the discretion of the University President.”
In CvSU Naic, the Campus Administrator designated the PhD faculty
members under the Teacher Education Department as Instructional
Materials Development Board Members.
Process flow for book writing proposal and course syllabus
“The faculty writer accomplishes the reading and reference material writing
proposal from the proposed instructional material (with course syllabus of
the subject attached to the form) for endorsement by the Department
Chairperson and College Dean.
The UTPB Chairperson receives the proposal and course syllabus
submitted by the faculty writer.
