The UTPB deliberates on the proposal based on criteria and recommends
to the Vice President for Academic Affairs for approval. The
recommendation includes the approximate length of time the instructional
material is to be written.”
Process flow for review and approval of printed instructional materials
“The faculty writer conforms by signing the Reading and Reference
Material Writing Contact and submits a copy to the UTPB Chairperson.
The faculty writer prepares and submits the instructional material
according to the approved proposal and course syllabus.
The UTPB reviews the draft instructional material submitted by the faculty
writer, and forwards to an external subject specialist, if needed. The Board
reviews the draft instructional material following the evaluation rating
system adapted from PASUC Knowledge-based Project for module,
reference book, textbook, workbook, laboratory manual, and novel writing.
The UTPB returns the instructional material to the faculty writer for
revision.
The UTPB Chairperson receives the revised instructional material
submitted by the faculty writer for final editing.
The UTPB Chairperson submits the edited instructional material to the
Vice President of Academic Affairs for approval and recommends for
utilizations in the university.”

1. Creation of curriculum review and development committee
2. Actual curriculum revision and development
3. Consultation or validation with stakeholders
4. Presentation to College Academic Council for approval and
endorsement to the University Academic Council
5. Presentation to the University Academic Council for approval
6. Submission to the Commission on Higher Education for approval
7. Presentation to the Board of Reagents for approval
8. Implementation of the approved curriculum
