Cavite State University, thru its Extension Services, has a mandate to
convert research outputs into sustainable extension projects that will help improve
lives of the people in the community. In 2018, the CvSU extension services initiated
the proposal of “CvSU Poverty Alleviation Program through UGNAYAN 2.0
Approach” and approved by the BOR last June 23, 2018. This will provide matured
technologies from different fields of specialization in the University to target
barangays or communities in Cavite based on their need’s assessment.
Furthermore, the Extension Services will coordinate all the Colleges, Campuses
and Units’ extension activities. Help in the conduct, evaluation and monitoring of
all the extension activities of the University through its five divisions - Community
Engagement and External Relations, Training and Courseware Development,
Technology Promotion, Techno-Demo Farm and Monitoring and Evaluation. This
will also serve as the umbrella of different extension projects from colleges and
campuses.
In order to institutionalize the previously mentioned efforts of CvSU Naic,
RDES proposed the Batangan Extension Program and was approved by the CvSU
Board of Regents (BOR) last March 19, 2015. This will serve as the umbrella of
different extension activities of CvSU Naic.
In the past years, the FMSD has conducted the following extension projects
to attain the well define objectives:
In 2013, the FMSD together with the other departments of the campus
conducted and involved in the following projects: Naic Fish Sanctuary Project
(NFS), Naic Pawikan Conservation Project (NPCP), and Philippine National
Aquasilviculture Program (PNAP).
