activities of the Campus respond to the needs of its community and different varied
clientele to be served. Among the issues discussed were the collaborative use of
the Mabulo fishpond for present and future endeavors, and the assurance that
research results will be extended to the beneficiaries in the community.
In 2015, the Naic Pawikan Conservation Protection Program (NPCPP) was
continued for its implementation. Meeting with NPCPP regarding Pawikan Festival.
The faculty and staff, and students were actively supported and participated to the
celebration of Pawikan Festival in Brgy. Labac, Naic, Cavite.
Furthermore, the promotional of smoked soft-bone bangus was started for
implementation. The profiling was done for the small-scale entrepreneurs of
smoked soft-boned bangus. The training of co-operators on the promotion of
smoked soft-boned bangus was done among coastal areas of Cavite.
In the same year, the BATANGAN Extension Project was started and was
approved by the board of regents on March 2015. Varied stakeholders were joined
for the consultative meetings such as Local and Provincial Government Units,
DepEd-Alternative Learning System and public elementary schools.
In 2016, the planning for the implementation of BATANGAN attended by
different beneficiaries and stakeholders. The Gender and Development (GAD) Unit
was under by RDES on that year and conducted seminar on gender sensitivity and
anti-sexual harassment for graduating students. Participation of faculty, staff and
students on women’s month celebration at CvSU Main were also observed.
In 2017, after conducting the Aquasilviculture extension program, the
Extension office conducted monitoring on the livelihood on the beneficiary from the
Kawit, Cavite.
