In 2017 to 2018, The FMSD in collaboration with other departments conducted
the Community-Based Production, Processing, and Marketing of Milkfish and
Tilapia Extension Project, a 2.5 Million pesos project funded by Commission on
Higher Education (CHED). Series of trainings, seminars and workshops on
production of milkfish and tilapia, processing of French style bangus, smoked soft-
boned bangus and spicy tilinggit as well as labeling, promotion, pricing and
distribution of the produced product were conducted with the Municipal Fisheries
and Aquatic Resources Management Council (MFARMC) members in Naic as the
beneficiaries. Table 4 shows the highlights of accomplishments of the project.
