                   opportunities  were  opened  for  the  campus  to  offer  more  courses,  improve  its

                   faculty and staff, improve its facilities, develop and improve its RD and E endeavor


                   in response to the growing demand of the society.

                          Along with the university’s tri-focal function, the instruction, research and


                   extension, Cavite State University has been very active in the extension activities.

                          CvSU,  thru  its  Extension  Services,  has  a  mandate  to  convert  research

                   outputs into sustainable extension projects that will help improve lives of the people


                   in the community. In 2018, the CvSU extension services initiated the proposal of

                   “CvSU  Poverty  Alleviation  Program  through  UGNAYAN  2.0  Approach”  and


                   approved by the BOR last June 23, 2018. This will provide matured technologies

                   from  different  fields  of  specialization  in  the  University  to  target  barangays  or


                   communities in Cavite based on their needs assessment. This will serve as the

                   umbrella  of  different  extension  programs  from  colleges  and  campuses.  The


                   approval of Ugnayan 2.0 opens the opportunity for colleges and campuses to align

                   its extension projects on the said extension program from the University.


                          CvSU Naic is proposing the Batangan 2.0 Extension Program to anchor and

                   align the extension program of campus to Ugnayan 2.0. The updated and improved

                   version of the Batangan Extension Program which includes new extension projects


                   and these are: (1) Zero Waste Management in the Coastal Areas of Naic, Cavite;

                   (2) Promotion of Fisheries Post-Harvest Technologies towards Food and Financial


                   Security;  (3)  Hospitality  Management  Services  and  Business  Management

                   Trainings,  (4)  Salin  Inpormasyon  at  Kaalaman  sa  Teknolohiya  ng  Kompyuter


                   (SIKTeK) and (5) “Tawid Karunungan” Functional Literacy Program which are the

                   results of community needs assessment (CNA) from different barangays in Naic,
