BACHELOR OF SECONDARY EDUCATION
Level III Phase 2
CvSU Naic’s Teacher Education Department (TED) offering the Bachelor
of Secondary Education aims to:
1. provide relevant and quality course offering in the undergraduate level to
improve student performance;
2. conduct relevant researches in the different areas in education to enrich
the learning process;
3. conduct relevant community services to disseminate information and
technologies to target clienteles to improve their well-being;
4. publish research journals and other related publications to disseminate
relevant information; and
5. produce instructional materials to improve student performance.
In line with the TED objectives, the Bachelor of Secondary Education
(BSEd) intends to produce graduates who are globally competitive and morally
upright educators who:
1. possess basic higher skills in literacy, communication, numeracy,
analytical and critical thinking and learning that are needed in teaching
secondary school students;
2. have principled and practical understanding of the learning process;
3. have excellent, meaningful and comprehensive knowledge of their fields of
specialization, and the subjects they will teach;
4. can skillfully apply the theories and principles of teaching and learning in
actual classroom setting;
5. possess appreciation of roles of the teacher in facilitating the learning
process;
6. are able to further the discovery and improvement of knowledge through
research;
7. are responsive to the needs of the society through involvement in various
community activities;
8. are responsive to the needs of the society through involvement in various

9. can facilitate learning of diverse learners in varied environments;
10. are able to pursue continuous professional improvement to better fulfill
their mission as teachers; and
11. can demonstrate the professional, social and ethical requirements of the
teaching profession.
In its pursuit to attain the educational objectives of the BSEd program, the
minimum set of outcomes based on CMO No. 75 s. 2017 for the Policies,
Standards and Guidelines for the Bachelor of Secondary (BSEd) program are
given in the ff.:
